Hungarian Sam?

Dolls themselves were only made in China or Germany correct?

Seller on ebay has a Sam listed saying that the tag on her clothing says made in Hungary For Pleasant Company and that the quality of the early American girl dolls made in HUNGARY is better than the ones made in China today.

Yuppers! SOme of the earlier ones were made in Hungary. I have one!

What we don't know is if the clothes were made in Hungary or the dolls. I am thinking it was probably the clothes. Earlier dolls do not have the side tags and we go by the clothing tags that come with the doll.
